1Who we are and what these terms cover

1.1 Seoulogy Academy is the trading name of GlobalGeek. All Seoulogy Academy training, assessment and certification is provided by GlobalGeek, trading as Seoulogy Academy, of 12 Jenner Avenue, London W3 6TA, United Kingdom ("we", "us", "our", "Seoulogy Academy").

1.2 Seoulogy professional products are distributed and sold by DermaSeoul, a separate company, under DermaSeoul's own terms of sale. GlobalGeek provides training only, and DermaSeoul is not a party to these training terms. Buying products is a separate contract between you and DermaSeoul.

1.3 These terms apply to every Seoulogy Academy course, including online Academy courses, practical training days, and one-to-one and group sessions. Current courses include the Krx Green Sea Peel Masterclass, Korean Skin Specialist: Part I, ISOV Salicule, Dermathod Rejuragen 2.0, Dermathod Microneedling Pen, LEAF Fusion Plasma Device and S5 AI Skin Analysis. These terms are between us and the person booking or attending ("you", "the Trainee").

1.4 You must read, accept and sign these terms before your training begins. You can do this online by signing in to your Seoulogy Academy account, or on the printed form. No trainee may start training until we have their signed acceptance. By paying a deposit or attending any part of a course, you also agree to these terms.

2Professional use and eligibility

2.1 Seoulogy Academy is a business-to-business training provider for aestheticians, skin therapists, clinics and other skin professionals. You confirm that you are booking for professional and business purposes.

2.2 Some courses require prior qualifications or experience. You confirm that the information you give us about your qualifications and experience is true, and you will provide evidence if asked. We may refuse or postpone training where a prerequisite is not met; the deposit rules in clause 5 still apply.

2.3 Your course certificate (clause 8) confirms that you completed the course and passed its assessment. It does not replace any registration, local-authority special-treatment licence, insurance or other legal requirement that applies to you. Arranging these is your responsibility.

3Payment by bank transfer

3.1 All Seoulogy Academy training is paid for by bank transfer only. We do not take card payments for training unless we agree otherwise in writing.

3.2 Please use the payment reference given in your booking confirmation so that we can match your payment to your place.

3.3 The remaining balance of the course fee must be received in cleared funds by the date in your booking confirmation, and in any case before training begins. If it has not been received, we may refuse to start the training, and the deposit is kept as set out in clause 4.

3.4 Fraud warning: we will never change our bank details by email or message alone. If you receive a request to pay a different account, call us on the number in clause 17 before you pay. We are not responsible for payments sent to an account that we did not confirm.

4Your deposit is non-refundable

4.1 Your place is reserved only when we receive your deposit. When it arrives, we immediately commit resources to your booking: we hold your seat and remove it from sale, assign and pay for trainer time, book the training room, and prepare products, kits and course materials for you.

4.2 For these reasons the deposit is non-refundable in all circumstances, including if you cancel, fail to attend, arrive too late to take part, or decide not to continue. The only exception is if we cancel the course ourselves (clause 6).

5If you cancel, reschedule or do not attend

5.1 You must tell us in writing (email or WhatsApp) as early as possible if you cannot attend.

5.2 We do not have to move your booking to another date. If we agree to reschedule, it will be one transfer, subject to availability. The deposit then moves to the new date and remains non-refundable.

5.3 If you do not attend on the booked date without agreeing a transfer with us beforehand, you lose the whole course fee you have paid.

6If we cancel or change a course

6.1 In rare cases, for example trainer illness or circumstances outside our control, we may need to move or cancel a session. We will tell you as soon as we can and offer another date.

6.2 If we cancel and you do not accept another date, we will refund what you have paid for that course, including the deposit. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or other costs you have paid.

7Raising a concern during training

7.1 If you have a concern about any part of your training, you must raise it on the spot, during the session, with your trainer, so that we have a fair chance to put it right while you are with us.

7.2 We will consider any concern that is reasonable and made in good faith, and we will try to resolve it on the day. We may do this by adjusting the session, giving extra practice or demonstration, or arranging further support.

7.3 If your concern is reasonable, has not been resolved, and you do not wish to continue the training, we may at our discretion offer a partial refund. Before any partial refund, we will deduct:

  • the non-refundable deposit (clause 4);
  • products, consumables, kits and materials used or issued for your training;
  • the training room and venue cost for the session; and
  • the trainer time already delivered, including preparation.

7.4 We decide whether a partial refund is offered and how much it is. Concerns raised after the session has ended, or after you have finished the course, will not be considered for a refund.

8Your course certificate, and why it is final

8.1 When you complete the required training and pass the assessment for your course, we issue one of the following:

  • a CPD certificate, for courses that are CPD accredited (currently the Krx Green Sea Peel Masterclass); or
  • a Seoulogy Academy course certificate, for our own Seoulogy Academy courses. It names the course you completed, for example Korean Skin Specialist: Part I or Dermathod Rejuragen 2.0, and confirms that you passed its assessment.

8.2 In these terms, "certificate" means either of these. When your certificate is issued, the training is completed and accepted in full. From that point we do not accept any refund request, complaint for refund, or payment dispute about the training or the certificate.

8.3 If you do not meet the assessment standard, we may give you further guidance or a re-assessment, which may carry an extra charge. Not passing an assessment does not entitle you to a refund.

8.4 We may withdraw a certificate if any part of the fee is reversed or not paid, if the certificate was obtained with false information, or if it is altered, copied or used to suggest that you are an employee or agent of Seoulogy.

9Payment disputes and recalls

9.1 You agree to raise any concern with us directly, under clause 7, and not through your bank or payment provider.

9.2 If a payment is disputed, recalled or reversed after training has been delivered or a certificate issued, we will contest it. We will provide your signed acceptance of these terms, attendance and assessment records, and the certificate record as evidence. Your certificate will be suspended while the dispute is open, and we may ask DermaSeoul to suspend professional product access linked to it.

9.3 You will be responsible for any sums found to be owed to us and for our reasonable costs of recovering them.

10Professional products and access

10.1 Training is delivered using Seoulogy professional products. Products used during training stay with us unless your booking says that a kit is included.

10.2 Products for your own clinic are bought from DermaSeoul under its terms of sale. Any question or claim about a product you have bought, its delivery or its price goes to DermaSeoul, not to GlobalGeek.

10.3 Some professional products, for example Krx Green Sea Peel, can only be ordered by practitioners who have completed the matching Seoulogy Academy training. Completing a course does not oblige DermaSeoul to supply any product. Access may be suspended if a certificate is withdrawn under clause 8.4 or suspended under clause 9.2.

11Health, safety and models

11.1 You must follow your trainer's instructions and our health, safety and hygiene rules at all times. We may stop you from taking part if you put yourself or others at risk. If this happens, no refund is due.

11.2 Before training, you must tell us about any medical condition, pregnancy or breastfeeding, skin condition or treatment, or allergy that could affect your participation, especially if you will receive treatment as a practice model. Any model you bring must complete our consultation and consent process. We may refuse to treat a model who is not suitable.

12Course materials, portal access and recording

12.1 All course content, protocols, booklets, videos, portal lessons and assessments belong to us or our licensors. They are licensed to you for your own professional learning only.

12.2 Your Seoulogy Academy portal account is personal to you. You must not share your login, or copy, record, photograph, publish, resell or use our materials to train others, unless we agree in writing.

12.3 We may suspend portal access if these rules are broken, or if a payment is disputed (clause 9).

13Your responsibility after training

13.1 After training, you are solely responsible for the treatments you carry out. This includes client consultation, patch testing, informed consent, choosing suitable clients, following the manufacturer's protocol, aftercare, record-keeping and having appropriate insurance.

13.2 You must not describe yourself as a Seoulogy trainer, employee or representative, or train others in Seoulogy protocols, unless we have appointed you in writing.

14Our liability

14.1 Our total liability to you in connection with any course is limited to the course fee you paid for it.

14.2 We are not liable for loss of profit, business, income or opportunity, or for any loss caused by treatments you perform after training. We are not responsible for products sold by DermaSeoul.

14.3 Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.

15Photography and your information

15.1 We may take photographs or video during training for records and assessment. We will use images in which you can be identified for marketing only if you agree to this on the acceptance form.

15.2 We use your personal details to manage your booking, training, certification, portal account and product access, in line with UK data protection law. We keep training and certification records so that we can verify certificates and respond to disputes. We share your training and certification status with DermaSeoul so that it can open professional product ordering for you.

16General

16.1 These terms, your booking confirmation and your signed acceptance make up the whole agreement for your training. If they conflict, the booking confirmation takes priority on dates, course and fees, and these terms take priority on everything else.

16.2 If a court finds any part of these terms invalid, the rest of the terms still apply. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

16.3 We may update these terms for future bookings. The version you signed applies to your booking.

16.4 These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.

Questions about...

Products

Where are your products made?

All Seoulogy products are formulated, manufactured, and assembled exclusively in South Korea. Our products are created by professionals specializing in cosmeceutical and derma cosmetics within KFDA (KCA), CGMP, and ISO-certified facilities. This ensures the highest standards of quality, safety, and effectiveness in every product.

Do your products require special care?

Yes, to maintain the integrity and efficacy of our products, it’s essential to store them in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Some products may require refrigeration, which will be indicated on the packaging or product information guide. Always keep lids tightly closed to prevent contamination.

Do I need certifications to use Seoulogy products?

Seoulogy products are exclusively for professional use. To register as a Seoulogy Professional and access our products, we require proof of qualifications. All applicants must provide valid credentials to ensure products are used by trained professionals.

Are Seoulogy products suitable for all Fitzpatrick skin tones?

Yes, Seoulogy products are formulated to be suitable for all Fitzpatrick skin tones, from I to VI. However, for clients with higher Fitzpatrick skin types (IV-VI), we recommend using a tyrosinase inhibitor for a minimum of two weeks prior to treatment. This precaution helps to minimize the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation and ensures optimal results. Please consult our guidelines or reach out to our team for further advice on pre-treatment protocols for higher Fitzpatrick skin types.

Are Seoulogy products tested for safety and efficacy?

Yes, all Seoulogy products undergo rigorous testing for safety and efficacy. Our formulations are developed by experts in South Korea using state-of-the-art facilities and processes. Each product is carefully evaluated to ensure it meets our high standards and is suitable for professional use.

What is the shelf life of Seoulogy products?

The typical shelf life for Seoulogy products is between 12 to 24 months. We recommend checking the packaging for specific expiration dates. Once opened, products should be used within the timeframe indicated on the packaging to ensure their effectiveness and safety.
